We developed a novel modeling framework that links global multi-regional input-output (GMRIO) tables embedded in China's provinces with integrated assessment models (IAM) also embedded in China's provinces, to assess the carbon emissions and associated Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) costs of China's ISAP exports to the European Union (EU).
