Electromagnetic Scattering Parameters and Nicholson-Ross-Weir (NRW) Data Results of Carbon Fibers 2x2 weave and Polydimethylsiloxane over the X-band (8.2 - 12.4 GHz)

The electromagnetic characterization was performed using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) model N5235A, with the Agilent software package. The 11644A WR-90 waveguide mechanical calibration kit was used to calibrate the VNA in the X-band frequency range (8.2 to 12.4 GHz), transverse electric (TE10) mode. Simulation data were obtained with the Altair FEKO®, version 2021.2.4, computational electromagnetics (CEM) module with the full-wave domain frequency solution method of moments (MoM).

Relative complex permittivity (εr = ε’ – jε”) and the relative complex permeability (μr = μ’ – jμ”)
