FAINT X-RAY SOURCES IN NEARBY DWARF SPHERIOD GALAXIES

The study of Xray sources in large external galaxies has been vigorouslypursued in recent years, allowing a global analysis of their populations alongthe Hubble sequence. We aim to extend this analysis to dwarf spheroidalgalaxies. The aim of this proposal is to characterise the Xray population ofthe Sagittarius and Carina dwarf galaxies. The Carina dwarf has a more complexand recent star formation history compared to Sagittarius.
