Public institutions for intercommunal cooperation are structures which involve several municipalities within an inter-communal grouping with own taxation with the objective of carrying out joint spatial planning and economic development projects and jointly managing public services and community facilities of Community interest. Public establishments are community or agglomeration communities. In 2015, the Loiret was covered by 2 Communities of agglomeration and 26 Communities of communes.
