EduMPI GUI - Visualizing Collective Operations - User Study Data 2024_25

This dataset contains the data collected during two user studies conducted with university students in the winter semester 2024/25 and the summer semester 2025. The study evaluates EduMPI Suite's ability to visualize collective MPI operations. The experiment investigates usability aspects including efficiency, effectiveness, and user satisfaction. Participants were asked to execute and analyze a program on an HPC cluster. The dataset includes student's responses to specific tasks and Likert-scale items. The dataset supports the analysis of how educational visualization tools such as EduMPI GUI compare to professional performance analysis tools in helping learners understand and optimize MPI programs.
