Dataset for "Large-Scale Slab Dynamics as Drivers of Seismicity: Modeling Earthquakes in the Izu-Bonin-Mariana Subduction Zones" By Li et al.

This repo contains code and dataset for "Large-Scale Slab Dynamics as Drivers of Seismicity: Modeling Earthquakes in the Izu-Bonin-Mariana Subduction Zones" by Li et al. 24 cases namely izu_test* are compressed in tar files and can be visualized via paraview. inputfile.txt contains the model index(first column), maximum yield stress(second column), viscosity prefactor for lower mantle(third column) and 660km Clayperon slope(forth column). For the viscosity prefactor in the third column, [1.5e-15, 1.5e-16, 1.5e-17] correspond to [x1, x10, x100] viscosity jump at 660km. Aspect input file: izu_test3.prm Initial conditions: izu_T_IC.txt, izu_comp_IC.txt Boundary conditions: izubc_*.txt To run the code, simply excecute command >> mpirun -n $nproc aspect izu_test3.prm Change the directory address in izu_test3.prm when necessary.
