Map of Pastos de Navarra

The map of Pastos de Navarra is prepared on a 1:25,000 scale, computerised and with related graphical and alphanumeric databases (GIS environment). Its basic objectives are to carry out the Catalogue of Pastures of Navarre; inventory and typify the types of vegetation; determine the forage value of each type of vegetation and map at 1:25,000 scale the different vegetation units, establishing their spatial organisation and evaluating their extent, as well as the foraging potential of the resources. The Catalogue of Pastures will be provisional, although increasing over time and the mapped surface, until the cartography of the entire surface of Navarre is completed. In short, it is a question of determining the capacity of each type of pasture to feed the livestock according to its ecological and forage peculiarities.
