Activities relating to mortgages

This table shows the number of mortgages received in 2022 by Region. In order to be brought to the attention of all (to be enforceable against a third party), certain acts require special publicity: mortgage advertising. This can take three forms: (1) transcription, that is to say, the full copy of the document in the mortgage registers, such as the deed of sale of immovable property; (2) registration, in other words a copy of an extract from the document such as the mortgage registration schedule; (3) the marginal mention, additional information mentioned in the margin of either a registration or a transcription, such as, for example, in the case of seizure of immovable property. These formalities, which were previously carried out by manual copying, have been carried out since 2001 by scanning documents and since 1 April 2014 also by documents received electronically. Transactions relate to the number of legal agreements contained in the deeds, bearing in mind that the same act may contain several legal agreements, such as a sale and a gift.
