M7

M7 is one of six meteorological stations in the Zackenberg and Store Sødal Valley, where M7 is the only station in Store Sødal. Data from the station is found under meteorology (wind, temperature and relative humidity, short wave radiation) and snow properties (snow depth).
The meteorological station M7 was installed in 2008. M7 is located in the western end of 'Store Sødal', about 500 West of the lake delta. Underneath the mast there are several bigger boulders, with a mix of salix and grasses between the boulders.
Data is recorded on a CR1000 campbell scientific data logger. Data is recorded every half an hour.
2017: Wind vanes A100R (measuring wind speed and gust) and W200P (wind direction and standard deviation) were exchanged with Young Alpine wind monitor (05103-45 Wind monitor), as well as temperature and relative humidity, May 3rd.
