Rooftop Photovoltaics: Potential data Solar cadastre NRW

The State Office for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection NRW (LANUV NRW) published the solar cadastre NRW in November 2018. In this context, each roof in NRW was examined in high detail with regard to its suitability for photovoltaics and solar thermal energy. The solar cadastre NRW was created on the basis of nationwide, high-resolution laser scan data from the state of NRW and radiation data from the German Weather Service. Further information on the project is compiled in the solar cadastre at https://www.solarkataster.nrw.de and summarised in the attached brochure. This data set contains all roof surfaces suitable for photovoltaics in NRW. Attributes such as the suitable area size, the usable module surface, the installable power and the potential power output to each roof surface are shown. The attributes are explained in the attached Excel table attached to the record.
