Share of adults who believe the U.S. should be a Christian nation 2022, by party

According to a survey conducted in 2022, more Americans were in opposition of declaring the United States a Christian nation than they were in favor of it. However, 61 percent of Republicans and 17 percent of Democrats said that they would be in favor of declaring the United States a Christian nation.
