Database of the ABSTRACT experiment "visual versus verbal modality in learning novel verbs"

Then file contains two shhets, one for Experiment 1 and one for Experiment 2. Experiment 1 compares the scores obtained by 100 school-age children in defining a novel verb (either a mental verb or an action verb) after visual or verbal presentation of positive and negative instances of the novel verb. Experiment 2 compares the correct judgments and response times collected with 15 children aged 8-10 years, for positive and negative visual instances of novel verbs, after verbal and visual presentation.
