GES contours noise due to companies

Zone set out in the zoning plan or zone decision around the industrial site, outside of which the emission level of noise due to the zoned industrial site shall not exceed 50 dB(A). (The plan is made by the municipality. Zone decisions have been adopted in the past by the Minister of VROM. The zone manager checks whether companies fit within the sound zone.) The noise load due to companies has been translated into GES (Health Effect Screening) classes and displayed on maps. The aim is to understand bottlenecks in the current situation and the risks present in new developments. With this insight, choices can be substantiated.
