‘Renqing’ or Equity? The Influence of Accepting the Favor on Inequity Aversion

This database comprises four sets of experimental research data, all formatted in long form. Sheet1 contains data from Experiment 1A, with the first column representing subject ID, the second column denoting the dependent variable (inequity aversion), the third column indicating the independent variable (presence or absence of favor), and the fourth column specifying the unfair allocation scheme. The fifth column categorizes five types of unfair allocation schemes into high unfairness, low unfairness, and fairness groups. Sheet2 contains data from Experiment 1B; Sheet3 contains data from Experiment 2A; and Sheet4 contains data from Experiment 2B. Sheet5 contains data from Experiment 3. The variables across these three sheets are consistent: subject ID is in the first column, followed by dependent variable (inequity aversion), independent variable (presence or absence of favor), gratitude emotion after receiving a favor, indebtedness emotion after receiving a favor, and finally the unfair distribution scheme. Each sheet includes annotations for variable coding.
