Honeybee monoamine learning rate paper data

This repository contains the data included in the manuscript 'Octopamine and tyramine dynamics predict learning rate phenotypes during associative conditioning in honey bees' by Sands et al. (2025). The MATLAB data structure is organized by experiment, with the three separate experiments each containing six bees. For each bee, the neurochemical time series for dopamine, serotonin, octopamine, tyramine, and pH are included for the pre-conditioning trials (i.e., (control) air stimulation, heptanol stimulation, hexanol stimulation, and hexanol stimulation) as well as for the conditioning trials. Each bee is indexed as a 'Learner' or 'Nonlearner', and for the 'Learner' bees, the number of conditioning trials required to demonstrate a proboscis extension reflex (i.e., learning rate) is indicated.
