Hemidactylus frenatus raw sequence reads

We sought to obtain representative sampling from the house gecko's native and introduced range from southeast Asia and Oceania. Between 2019-2021, we sampled five islands in Hawaii: Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Hawaii, and Lehua. Surveys were generally conducted in the evenings along manmade structures including schools and public restrooms. Samples from the native range, Southeast Asia, and Oceania were obtained through museum loans. For all newly collected samples, we formalin-fixed specimens and dissected and preserved livers in 95% ethanol for DNA extractions. DNA was extracted from all tissues using a Qiagen DNeasy Blood and Tissue Kit (Qiagen, Inc.) and quantified using a Qubit dsDNA BR assay kit (Thermo Fisher, Waltham, MA). We prepared two reduced representation genomic libraries following a modified version of the double-digest RADseq (ddRAD) protocol (Peterson et al. 2012, as modified by Barley et al. 2019) and sequenced on an Illumina NovaSeq SP Lane (100SR, 10X chemistry) with one library per lane. Sequence data were de-multiplexed using the process_radtags module in STACKS v2.54 (Catchen et al. 2013).
