Are young people remembered when the topic is misinformation? A bibliometric study of scientific production: 2008 to 2024

We present data that served as the basis for a study investigating disinformation among Brazilian youth. Although platforms such as Scopus and Web of Science were initially evaluated, OpenAlex was chosen as the source after preliminary testing revealed that it produced more relevant and more refined results for the research purposes. The strategy used was: (disinformation OR malinformation OR "fake news" OR misinformation OR disinformation) AND (young OR adolescent OR "middle aged" OR youth OR jovem OR jovens OR adolescentes* OR juventude*). Data were collected on May 6, 2025.
