GEOFLAMME scientific expedition: videos from the ROV Victor 6000 dives in the HORSESHOE area

Videos obtained by the Remotely Operated Vehicle Victor 6000 during the GEOFLAMME scientific expedition offshore Mayotte Island (Indian Ocean), specifically in the Horseshoe area.
The video recordings presented here are the following: n°776/7, n°778/9, n°779/10, n°783/14, n°785/16, n°786/17.

The videos are footages of the seafloor in the Horseshoe area, about 10 km east from Mayotte Island. They show the presence natural CO2 hydrates mounds and liquid CO2 vents on the seafloor, and the associated fauna in the area. Dedicated fluid and biological sampling are performed to better characterize the environment.
