Renewable generation and electricity consumption dataset for energy market models generated with artificial intelligence

This dataset presents an hourly resolution database of solar, onshore and offshore wind power generation and electricity consumption for the period 1980-2023, generated using neural network models trained on the ERA5 reanalysis database and ENTSO-E data. Modelling was performed for all European countries with sufficient quantity and quality of data to train the artificial intelligence models.

A publication describing the steps to create the database is currently submitted to Scientific Data.
