MODIS/TERRA MOD13C2 Vegetation Indices Monthly L3 Global 0.05Deg CMG Version 6

The MODIS Vegetation Indices Version 6 product provides a Vegetation Index (VI) value at a per pixel basis. There are 2 primary vegetation layers. The algorithm for this product chooses the best available pixel value from all the acquisitions from the 16 day period. The criteria used is low clouds, low view angle and the highest NDVI/EVI value. The first is the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), which is referred to as the continuity index to the existing National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration-Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (NOAA-AVHRR) derived NDVI. The second vegetation layer is the Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI), which has improved sensitivity over high biomass regions. MODIS植被指数第6版产品可提供逐像素的植被指数（Vegetation Index，VI）数值。本产品包含两类核心植被图层，其算法会从16天周期内的所有成像采集数据中选取最优像素值，选取标准为云量更低、观测角度更小，且归一化差值植被指数/增强型植被指数（NDVI/EVI）数值最高。
