Nepal - Employee Survey 2009

The survey of Nepal manufacturing sector workers was conducted from March 8 to June 15, 2009, at the same time with 2009 Nepal Enterprise Survey. The research aimed to capture employees' perspectives on work environment and their satisfaction with work conditions. Data from 392 workers was analyzed. Employee Survey topics include workers' demographic characteristics, their job titles, hours, pay, work experience, health expenditures coverage, on-site training, paid leave, compensation when a contract is terminated and work commuting issues. The study also focuses on employees' trade unions membership and participation in trade unions' actions, evaluates workers' satisfaction with their jobs and employers, and assesses if employees consider migrating for work.
