Data for: "Towards ‘One Substance – One Assessment’: an Analysis of EU Chemical Registration and Aquatic Risk Assessment Frameworks"

This repository contains information relevant to the publication "van Dijk, J., Gustavsson, M., Dekker, S. C., & van Wezel, A. P. (2021). Towards ‘one substance–one assessment’: An analysis of EU chemical registration and aquatic risk assessment frameworks. Journal of Environmental Management, 280, 111692". The first excel sheet presented here contains a list of chemicals registered as a 1) biocide (Reg (EC) No 528/2012), 2) industrial chemical (REACH, (Reg (EC) No 1907/2006), 3) pesticide (Reg (EC) No 1107/2009), 4) medicines for human use (Directive 2001/83/EC), and 5) a veterinary medicine (Directive 2001/82/EC). The second excel sheet contains all substances registered under REACH for which a freshwater PNEC could be retrieved from ECHA's database. The third dataset contains a list of all chemicals that are registered under multiple registration frameworks, for which freshwater PNECs and corresponding assessment factors to derive PNECs were available.
