Anthrome maps were produced for: 1000 yr increments from 10,000 BCE to 1 CE (11 times) 100 yr increments from 100 CE to 1700 CE (17 times) 10 yr increments from 1710 to 1990 CE (29 times) 1 yr increments from 2000 CE to 2015 CE (16 times) The Anthromes v2.1 classification system of these data is based on the Anthromes v2.0 classification described in Ellis et al. 2010. The Anthromes 12K dataset was produced by classifying HYDE 3.2 data for population and land use, which can be downloaded here: https://doi.org/10.17026/dans-25g-gez3
