E3SMv2 Nudged Model Simulation over the Southeastern Atlantic Region (10° × 10°, 2005–2014)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains E3SMv2 nudged model simulations for 2005–2014 over a ~10° × 10° region of the southeastern Atlantic (3°–13° S, 10°–20° W), centered on Ascension Island, sampled daily at 13:00 UTC to coincide with the A-Train overpass. The model is run in the ne30pg2 (~1° × 1°) configuration, with winds and temperature nudged toward ERA5. The native model output is hourly. Both 2D and 3D variables are included. They are used in Zheng et al. (2026), “Regime-dependent impacts of aerosol vertical placement on liquid water path adjustment in southeastern Atlantic marine boundary layer clouds”, whose analysis uses the 2006–2014 subset of this archive. The files are netCDF4 with internal lossless compression and open directly in xarray, netCDF4-python, NCO or ncview, with no decompression step. The 2D fields are in a single file spanning 2005–2014; the 3D fields are split into one file per year, which can be read together with xarray.open_mfdataset('*_3D.nc', combine='nested', concat_dim='time').
