重庆忠县凤凰村示范区位于长江岸边，示范区面积为230亩，现状土地利用类型为园地（柑橘园）。示范区设置按照“源头减量、养分再利用、过程阻断和末端削减”的整体思路，通过合理的农林间作使养分再利用，构建生态沟渠和植物绿篱达到过程阻断作用，再利用人工湿地净化等技术进行末端削减，并结合现状乔木林隔离带，充分利用植物拦截、吸附、沉降、反硝化、生物吸收等方式，使得污染物得以削减，从而实现对果园排出养分的控制。
