Main travel purposes among Chinese during Lunar New Year 2023

According to a survey about travel plans during the Spring Festival of 2023, approximately 98 percent of Chinese respondents who intended to travel during the upcoming holidays were planning to visit their parents and elderly family members. Almost half of respondents also wanted to visit other relatives and friends. Meanwhile, only 12 percent were planning to go on vacation instead of visiting their family and friends during the Chinese New Year holiday.

根据2023年春节旅行计划的调查，约98%的中国受访者计划在即将到来的假日中前往探望父母及长辈。近半数受访者亦希望拜访其他亲戚与友人。与此同时，仅有12%的受访者计划在春节期间选择度假而非探望家人与朋友。
