资源简介:
Timelapse imagery can monitor weather and sea ice conditions at higher spatial and temporal resolutions than satellite imagery, which are important for supplementing satellite imagery to monitor sea ice conditions which change at scales that cannot be captured using satellite imagery. This dataset contains images that were collected to identify the timing of sea ice break-off events at the floe edge in Admiralty Inlet and Pond Inlet and to monitor shore ice conditions leading up to break-off. This dataset was developed as part of a larger project to establish observational systems for weather, current, and sinaa (lead) monitoring to complement Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ; Inuit knowledge and ways of knowing) and support real-time decision making for safe spring ice travel in the communities of Ikpiarjuk (Arctic Bay) and Mittimatalik (Pond Inlet), Nunavut.
