Area-based groundwater management (OGV, 2010) (history)

This stock shows an outline of the areas with area-based groundwater management, as indicated on map 11 (Landwater) of the Environment Vision, adopted by Provincial States on 2 June 2010. For Emmen, Coevorden, Hoogeveen and Meppel, groundwater is used for economic activities heat and cold from groundwater and customised water quality. Due to possible effects on nature, the urban area in Northern Drenthe seems less suitable for large-scale use of groundwater for business operations, but for large-scale use of heat-cold storage (WKO).
