Proteome database of Listeria ivanovii ATCC BAA-678

Listeria ivanovii is a
Gram-positive bacterium. A known pathogen of humans, much remains to be known
about this bacterium, and how similar its methods for pathogenesis compares
with those of Listeria monocytogenes. This work presents the proteome
database of Listeria ivanovii ATCC BAA-678 by parsing its annotated
proteome downloaded from UniProt. Comprising protein name and amino acid
sequence augmented with calculated variables such as number of residues,
molecular weight, and nucleotide sequence of each protein in the proteome, the
resource should find use in understanding the differences between L.
ivanovii and L. monocytogenes, particularly from the pathogenesis
perspective.
