Martyr Dramas 15-1700

This is a catalogue of martyr dramas written and published between 1500 and 1700. Minimal definition of martyr drama as a literary genre: A text written in the dramatic mode which represents the exemplary death of an individual who is considered holy by a Christian community. Background of the Publication: This catalogue is an appendix to my PhD thesis "Between Calvary and Parnussus.
