Common arrangements; income and charges by function 2004-2008

Short description table: The total costs and benefits per function for the common schemes for the Netherlands as a total in million euros. The figures presented contain only administrative data that are consistent with the definitions and classifications that the common arrangements themselves use in their records. The main functions are: — General administration — Public order and security — Traffic, transport and water management — Economic affairs — Education — Culture and recreation — Social services and social services — Public health and the environment — Spatial planning and public housing — Financing and general cover resources Data available from 2004 to 2008. Status of the figures: The 2008 data are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised. All figures are provisional at first publication. If changes occur, this is the result of the availability of new or updated data. Amendments as of 21 June 2010: The provisional figures for 2008 have been added and the table has been discontinued. The figures for 2007 are now final. Amendments as of 23 March 2010: The figures for the common arrangements for 2005 and 2006 have been corrected. The data for these years were incomplete because the common schemes of a business nature were not included. In contrast to the other common schemes, common schemes of a business nature are not largely subsidised by the public authorities but derive their income from their own activities. Examples are port companies and industries. In addition, the Civil Service Insurance Company (IZA) was not included in the figures in 2005. This common regulation was lifted in 2005 and this is the cause of a substantial correction to the public health function. The removal meant that the reserves and provisions still held by the IZA were returned to the owners, resulting in high expenses (refund to owners) and income (withdrawals from own reserves and provisions) on the aforementioned function.
