Dataset Direct Download Service (WFS): Unites of the Seine-Normandie Basin

The Water Framework Directive (WFD) sets out the basic principles for sustainable water policy. Its purpose is to establish a framework for the protection of inland surface waters, transitional waters, coastal waters and groundwater. The WFD aims to achieve good water status. The body of water is the elementary territorial division of aquatic environments intended to be the WFD assessment unit. A reference for water bodies is established for all waters in the Seine Normandy basin. It allows the development of the WFD management plan to achieve good water status. Hydrographic units refer to clusters of watersheds of surface water bodies. The Seine Normandy basin is divided into 80 hydrographic units.
