Moored ADCP measurements in the Southern Adriatic Sea at mooring site BB and FF, June 2020 - April 2023

This data set includes n.8 files (NetCDF format) containing observational data from two mooring sites, sites BB and FF, located in the Southern Adriatic Sea from the period from June 2020 to April 2023. The stand-alone moorings are equipped with an ADCP-RDI system which measures currents along the last 100 meters of the water column. Moorings were configured and maintained for continuous long-term monitoring. The moorings are currently operational as from 2021 they have joined  the southern Adriatic submarine observatory of EMSO-ERIC European Consortium. Metadata are compliant with EMSO Metadata specifications (https://github.com/emso-eric/emso-metadata-specifications/blob/develop/EMSO_metadata.md) and the data management plan is specified by "Southern Adriatic BB and FF Mooring Data Management Plan for EMSO-ERIC" (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10412751). The moorings are supported by a grant from Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia within the framework of the Joint Research Unit EMSO Italia through funds devoted by the Italian Ministry of University and Research to international dimension activities linked to the European Research Infrastructure EMSO and by a grant from the Ufficio Programmazione e Grant Office of CNR-Italy (CNR-UPGO).
