The 3D geological model of the Netherlands F3 Block was developed by the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Center for Energy and Geo Processing at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, and was constructed based on 3D seismic data and well log data from 26 wells. This dataset contains detailed regional geological information such as distinct strata and faults, and is designed as benchmark data for training and testing machine learning models, particularly for lithofacies classification tasks. The creation of this dataset involves sophisticated geological modeling techniques, including surface creation and editing using Petrel software, as well as time-depth conversion via OpendTect. Its main application fields cover seismic interpretation and lithofacies classification, aiming to improve the accuracy and efficiency of geological interpretation through machine learning technologies.
