Standardization of sample collection methods for the respiratory and gut microbiome in commercial turkeys

Results of a turkey gut microbiome sampling workshop conducted jointly by researchers from the Ohio State University and the University of Minnesota. Over the course of two days, both sets of researchers collected gut samples using their preferred techniques for comparisons of relative sampling efficiency. Respiratory microbiome data were also collected using methods devised by OSU.
