Proteome database of Bacillus licheniformis ATCC 14580

<i>Bacillus licheniformis</i> is a Gram-positive bacterium commonly found in soil. This work sought to present the proteome repertoire of the organism in the form of an Excel file. Using an in-house MATLAB proteome analysis software, the UniProt proteome of <i>B. licheniformis </i>ATCC 14580 was parsed and a database comprising protein name, amino acid sequence, number of residues, molecular weight of protein and nucleotide sequence of protein was built. Overall, this proteome database should find use in a variety of basic and applied microbiology research settings such as molecular cloning for the heterologous expression of useful genes in other biotechnological host such as <i>Escherichia coli</i>.<br><br>
