White rot fungus Rigidoporus microporus is one of the most important pathogens of rubber tree plantations. We investigated adaptatons of R. microporus to the natural latex of rubber trees by growing the fungus on synthetic media supplemented with the rubber tree wood and latex milk. Media without latex milk were used as a control. Among the genes with higher expression level on latex-containing medium, we identified a number of genes with a possible role in latex degradation and utilization.
