Employees subject to social security contributions by gender and county (employment rate)

The figures represent the percentage of employees subject to social security contributions between the ages of 15 and below 65 of the population of the respective age as of 31.12. Employees are counted at the place of residence who are subject to social insurance under the Third Book of Social Code (SGB III) (except for minor employees). From 2014 onwards, the population data were calculated on the basis of census 2011.
