The "Sharing Plan for Radar Sea Detection Data (SDRDSP)" has been upgraded to the "Maritime Target Data Sharing Plan (MTDSP)". The newly released "Multi-source Observation Dataset for Maritime Targets" covers 7 typical types of maritime targets, namely dry cargo ships, liquid cargo ships, container ships, passenger ships, fishing boats, engineering ships and search and rescue ships, with 4 groups of data for each type, totaling 28 groups of ZIP files, with a total data volume of approximately 42 GB.
The dataset contains multi-source observation information, including radar HH/VV polarization intermediate frequency/video echoes, visible light and infrared images, target tracks (radar and AIS), as well as meteorological and hydrological parameters (wind speed, wind direction, wave height and wave direction). It covers various sea conditions, weather conditions and target motion states, and features high spatiotemporal resolution and data integrity, providing high-quality data support for research on maritime target detection, recognition and motion analysis.
This dataset was produced by Liu Ningbo, Wang Guoqing, Dong Yunlong, Guan Jian, Li Jia, Zhang Zihao and other researchers from the Naval Aviation University.
The data acquisition equipment was deployed at the First Bathing Beach of Yantai. The radar conducts long-term continuous observation in circular scanning mode, and dynamically intercepts local area data based on the real-time position information of targets to optimize storage and analysis efficiency and reduce redundant data load. The optoelectronic equipment operates in slave mode, which receives the target distance, azimuth and pitch information provided by the radar in real time, and automatically adjusts its own parameters to ensure accurate alignment of multi-source data.
This dataset is applicable to research fields such as maritime target characteristic analysis, intelligent recognition and target tracking. After the data is uploaded, supporting software for multi-source observation data review and analysis of maritime targets (V1.0) will be provided, which supports efficient data analysis and review, providing important support for relevant academic research and engineering applications.
