资源简介:

This dataset contains downstream hydrodynamic modeling outputs from HEC-RAS simulations for potential glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) scenarios at Imja Tsho and Lower Barun Lake in the Nepal Himalaya. It accompanies the manuscript "Modeling potential glacial lake outburst floods and loss prediction in the Nepal Himalayas". The dataset includes GeoTIFF raster outputs for three flood variables: maximum flood depth, maximum flow velocity, and flood arrival time. For each lake, simulations were conducted under multiple breach-depth and lake-level scenarios. Lower Barun Lake scenarios include breach depths of 25 m, 50 m, and 100 m with lake-level rises of 0 m, 2 m, and 4 m. Imja Tsho scenarios include breach depths of 12 m, 25 m, and 50 m with lake-level rises of 0 m, 3 m, and 6 m. Files are organized into six compressed archives by lake and variable: Lower_FloodDepth, Lower_FloodVelocity, Lower_FloodArriveTime, Imja_Tsho_FloodDepth, Imja_Tsho_FloodVelocity, and Imja_Tsho_FloodArriveTime. Raster filenames encode the scenario parameters. For example, Depth(100m4m).tif represents a flood-depth raster for a 100 m breach-depth scenario with a 4 m lake-level rise. Two additional Excel files, Lower Barun-Time-DV.xlsx and Imja Tsho-Time-DV.xlsx, provide breach-section time series of flood depth and flow velocity. These files are direct HEC-RAS model outputs used to support the manuscript's analysis of downstream flood characteristics, infrastructure exposure, economic losses, and population exposure under potential GLOF scenarios.
