Effects of Maternal IBD and IBD Breast Milk on Neonatal Gut Microbiome and Intestinal Inflammation

The objective of the study is to compare the intestinal inflammatory response markers of infants born to healthy mothers versus IBD mothers. As well, the fecal microbiome of infants who are breast fed by healthy mothers versus IBD mothers, and the immunoactive components of breast milk from healthy mothers versus IBD mothers, will be compared.
