Escherichia coli IrN is a bacterium isolated from copper waste treatment at the Teacher College Laboratory, Universitas Pelita Harapan, Lippo Karawaci, Indonesia. This isolate exhibits resistance to copper and various dyes, making it a potential candidate for bioremediation of environments contaminated with heavy metals and dyes. The isolation was performed using selective culture methods on media containing copper and dyes as selective pressures.
