Myogenesis, the core process of skeletal muscle development and regeneration, involves the differentiation and maturation of myogenic stem cells into mature myofibers. Under specific induction conditions, the C2C12 myoblast cell line differentiates from proliferative myoblasts to multinucleated myotubes, serving as a classic model for studying the molecular mechanisms of skeletal muscle differentiation. Exploring RNA expression profile changes in senescent C2C12 cells helps elucidate the molecular mechanisms of aging-induced skeletal muscle dysfunction, providing potential targets for sarcopenia prevention and treatment.
