The Territorial Planning Directive (DTA) of the Seine estuary was approved on 10 July 2006. It covers a perimeter of 942 municipalities, straddling the departments of Calvados, Eure and Seine-Maritime. The territory covers about 700,000 hectares and accommodates 1,550,000 inhabitants. The map represents, in addition to the perimeter of the DTA, the large areas of economic development, as well as the natural areas to be protected.
