Quality database of institutions, 2013

The data file is ready to show the role of institutions as the foundation of social and economic activity. More than thirty established institutional indicators are grouped into three homogeneous groups of formal institutions: legally, politically and economically, which it largely determines the formal institutional environment of the country. The latent quality of institutions within each group is calculated, for all countries around the world on a year-by-year basis. On this basis, it is proposed to rank countries on the legal, political and economic World Quality Index of Institutions. (SLKI) on which the relative progress or regression of the selected country can be traced. Calculated latent indicators of the three dimensions of the institutions are especially useful in analysis with longitudinal data. The database of quality institutions covering up to 197 countries and territories from 1990 to 2010 is therefore available on the ADP website.
