资源简介:
The Real Property Act 1863 introduced the Torrens Title system into New South Wales. Under this system a Register was created for each land holding which recorded all details and interests affecting the land such as: easement, covenants, mortgages, resumptions, caveats and subsequent changes in ownership. Torrens Title allows for a single document documenting land holding which is guaranteed by the State of New South Wales. From 1863 to 1961 the Register was held in the form of the Old Form Torrens Title bound register. The Old Form Torrens Title bound registers show the origins of title (for example, grant details, primary application details); previous title reference; successive title reference number(s); land description points; diagram sketch of land.A new folio was created: when current title could not hold further endorsements; when part was sold; when land was held by tenants in common and a separate title was issued for each owner's share; and if land was sold under the provisions of the Local Government Act for unpaid rates etc.Prior to scanning a Volume number consisted of five colour coded registers: White (folios 1-50), Blue (folios 51-100), Maroon (folios 101-150), Red (folios 151 - 200) and Green (201-250). A folio is large paper format. The physical format of a volume now is loose folios as the registers were pulled apart for digital scanning purposes. There are 250 folios to each Volume and these are arranged numerically by folio number.
