UNESCO World Heritage Styria

UNESCO World Heritage Sites according to the UNESCO World Heritage Convention. Convention for the Protection of the Cultural and Natural Heritage of Humanity. It is a legal instrument binding under international law and has universal validity with 187 Contracting States. The guiding idea of the Convention is to consider the outstanding cultural and natural sites of this earth, which are listed in a list, not as property of a state, but as an ideal possession of all mankind (www.unesco.at) (INSPIRE Annex I). The spatial data is published as INSPIRE view and download services via INSPIRE compliant harmonised data. The publication via other rails — e.g. via the OGD portal — takes the form of the data available at the Land of Styria (Data As Is).
