Security Review of Foreign Investment in China: A Review of the Literature

Studies were identified by searching electronic databases, scanning reference lists of articles and consultation with experts in the field. The time limit for literature retrieval is 10 years from 2011 when China officially implemented the security review system for foreign mergers and acquisitions to 2021.This search was applied to China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), in which the source journals of articles have been limited to the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) , the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) , and A Guide to the Core Journal of China (PKU). At the same time, in order to observe the research priorities and trends in this field from multiple perspectives, we also searched the English literature related to China 's foreign investment security review in the Web of Science Core Collection (including SCIE, SSCI, A&HCI) . Finally, A total of 304 Chinese and 14 English articles closely related to " national security review of foreign investment " and " security review of foreign investment " are selected.
