U–Th dates and COPRA age–depth model of stalagmite TM-17 from Tham Doun Mai Cave, Laos
收藏资源简介:
This dataset presents uranium–thorium (U–Th) dating results and a probabilistic age–depth model for stalagmite TM-17 collected from Tham Doun Mai Cave, Laos. U–Th analyses were conducted on calcite subsamples drilled along the central growth axis of the stalagmite, yielding uranium and thorium concentrations, isotopic activity ratios, and raw and detrital-corrected U–Th ages with associated analytical uncertainties. Age–depth modeling was performed using COPRA (Constructing Proxy Records from Age models; Breitenbach et al., 2012), employing Monte Carlo simulations to propagate analytical dating uncertainties and generate probabilistic chronologies. The dataset includes raw and corrected U–Th ages, identification of dates used for age-model construction, the median COPRA age model, and associated confidence intervals derived from the ensemble of simulations. These data provide a robust chronological framework for speleothem-based paleoclimate reconstructions from mainland Southeast Asia using the TM-17 stalagmite. Users are encouraged to incorporate reported age uncertainties in downstream analyses.
