We find that transcriptomic analysis of oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs), treated with conditioned media from iPS-derived neural progenitor cells (NPCs) from primary progressive multiple sclerois (PPMS) patients, reveals an increase in senescence-associated genes and epigenetic-associated genes compared to OPCs treated with control NPC conditioned media. We also identfied that blocking HMGB1 in the PPMS NPC conditioned media inhibited the upregulation of most senesence-associated genes and epigenetic-associated genes in the OPCs.
